Loft conversions in Harrogate are getting easier ?
The new planning laws are soon to be upon us. Thankfully the government have done a u turn on some aspects of the new planning laws.
It would appear that Lofts conversions, extension planning applications are to be relaxed, making the whole process easier.
We will investigate through the local planning department to ascertain the full implication.We will let you know!
UPDATE!
The news is , you no longer take any existing extensions, or garage volume for your permitted development. If you have existing dormers, they will count towards the new 40m3 allowance. You need to calculate the volume of existing, and whats left is permitted development.Obscure glass to windows on front or side, and no openers below 1.7m from floor.

Fire doors, or up grade to habitable rooms and kitchen, but no closer's or escape windows!!!
